As you may be aware, the program of reforms announced by the Department of Transport on 25 March 2019 included the abolition of parking and launching fees at all public boat ramps in Victoria in relation to recreational boating.
At the time, the Department of Transport agreed to make a payment to our Lakes Committee of Managements via Buloke Shire Council to help offset the abolition of boat ramp fees, and Council has passed on that contribution accordingly.
We are therefore pleased to advise that Better Boating Victoria has provided an additional payment this financial year to contribute to the funding of maintenance of Boat Ramps and Associated Parking Fees.
